Pramati Server 3.5 Installation & Configuration Guide
Verifying Server installation
1 Open the command prompt and go to the directory <install_dir>/server/bin.
2 Run runserver.bat.
3 This starts the Server and brings up the j2eeadmin@default:> prompt. This prompt is used for
performing Server administration and deployment tasks.
4 To shut down Server, type shutdown at the default prompt. The Server stops, and you return to
the command prompt.
Verifying installation of Deploy Tool
1 To verify installation of Deploy Tool, Pramati Server should be started.
2 Open a command prompt and go to the directory <install_dir>/server/bin.
3 If you are verifying a Deploy Tool installation, go to the directory <install_dir>/deploytool/bin.
4 Execute rundeploytool.bat at the command prompt.This opens the ‘Connect to Server’
dialog box.
5 Provide the following information:
Server IP: Specify the Server IP or the host name where the server is running. For example,
127.0.0.1
Naming Port: Specify the port on which the server is listening. For example, 9191
User Name: Specify the username provided while configuring the realm. For the realm system,
the username is root
Password: Specify the password provided while configuring the realm. For the realm system,
the password is pramati
Realm: Specify the realm name. The default value is system
6 Click ‘Connect’ or press ‘<enter> to open the Deploy Tool.
